Stories are written.
Between past and future – you feel it here in every detail. We leave room for development and don’t believe in control, rather in guidance. For us, wine is born in interplay of nature, instinct, trust – and experience.

Our philosophy
Nature is the foundation of our work – and our guiding principle.
For us, this means working organically, sustainably, and with careful handcraft. It’s the only way to leave the best for the next generation – while creating wines of the highest quality.
One farm. Many roles.
Young and old come together. Past stories are told, new ones are written. All together – and yet each in their own role.

Johannes
Among the vines and in the cellar – that’s where Johannes feels most at home. He knows every plot, every vine, every barrel. He decides when harvest begins, how long the wine matures, what it needs – or what it doesn’t. Precise, calm and thoughtful.

Tanya
Marketing and management – she oversees the estate alongside Johannes, keeping a close eye on the big picture and bringing fresh ideas. She tells our story and makes Bergmannhof visible – clear, attentive and with a sense for what connects.

Benjamin
Sales and organisation – whether at trade fairs, with partners or directly, Benjamin is in the middle. He brings our wines to the people. Open, direct, uncomplicated – and for many, the first touchpoint with Bergmannhof. In the office, he makes sure everything runs smoothly.

Agata & Josef
The parents of Johannes and Benjamin – and the beginning of it all. Josef planted vines when the boys were still playing in the yard. Today, he continues to help on the farm. Agata is the good soul of the estate – she keeps the family together, makes the farm and garden bloom, and lends a hand in the vineyard.

How we make wine
Just like us, each of our wines is a personality of its own. All share the same foundation – yet each develops its own character.
Some reflect the grape variety, others the site or the way they are made.
What unites them all? Structure, juiciness, and sheer drinking pleasure.
Respecting the past & working for the future
We still grow native varieties such as Schiava and Lagrein. Decades ago, our range was expanded to include international grapes like Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc – and it is this diversity that defines us today.
Organic viticulture
For us, it’s the only way to achieve the highest quality for our grapes and wines – and leave something valuable for those who will come after us.
Steadfast & open to new ideas
We want to explore the undiscovered, refine what already exists, and respond even more individually to our vines and wines.
